Marechan Burrows was officially crowned Miss World The Bahamas 2026 on April 5, 2026, during a presentation held by the Miss World Bahamas Organization at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture in Nassau. The announcement and crowning were made public the following day, April 6, 2026.

She was crowned to represent The Bahamas at the 73rd Miss World Festival (the 75th anniversary edition), which is scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.
